Support can look different for everyone

Lifeline is best known for free and confidential 24/7 crisis support, but we know that help isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Some days, you might need a conversation. Other days, you might need a practical guide, a story that resonates or to connect with others on a discussion forum. There are lots of options open to you, but we also know sometimes that can be overwhelming.

Remember you can always contact Lifeline by phone, text or chat, to help you explore what feels right for you.

Lifeline discussion forums

Lifeline’s online forums are a safe, anonymous community where people across Australia come together to share what they’re going through—whether they’re living with mental health challenges, supporting a loved one, or just navigating life’s ups and downs.

Hosted by SANE Australia and moderated 24/7 by trained mental health professionals, these forums offer a supportive environment grounded in respect, compassion, and peer connection.

You can read stories from others who understand what it’s like to face tough times, or share your own experiences when you're ready. However you choose to connect, you’re not alone.
